Respironics REMstar Auto M Series w/ A-Flex

Overview

The REMstar Auto CPAP is part of the M Series from Respironics. Its compact, less medical design makes it a very popular choice for patients who need the comfort an Auto CPAP and are looking to minimize the look and feel of having a medical device in their bedroom. It utilizes the proven comfort of A-Flex (pressure relief) technology, to help you get more sleep at night.

The Auto version of the M Series CPAP provides highly detailed usage reporting in an easy to use data recording system with SmartCard storage.  The SmartCard can interface with the Encore Pro (clinical version software) or the Encore Viewer (patient version software) and provide easy to read usage and data reports.

Description

The REMstar Auto M Series with A-Flex is truly a small, versatile CPAP. It can stow neatly in a suitcase for travel or be used while camping, boating or in power loss situations, powered from a DC (battery) source, with the optional shielded DC power cord.

The REMstar Auto M Series uses the same chassis and internal components as the REMstar Plus and Pro M Series CPAPs, but also includes the ability to automatically adjust for altitude, provide AHI (Apnea/Hypopnea Index) information as well as leak levels and snoring.

The M series hides all but the most commonly used controls under a door on the top of the machine. The pressure outlet is in the back of the machine and allows the tubing to be routed from the rear to keep it hidden. Even the well thought out humidifier design hides an easy to use water chamber to maintain the less medical motif.

The Auto has lighted buttons and backlit display for use in low light situations. All of the CPAP’s functions, controls and reporting can be performed using the easy to understand buttons.

The temperature selection dial on the top of the optional integrated humidifier controls humidity. The dial also includes the off position so you can use it in a cool passover mode if no heat is desired or while the CPAP is powered from a DC (battery) source. The water chamber’s two piece design is easy to remove and makes cleaning a breeze.
